TiKisha McDowell has been a member of the RHP board since 2018 and currently serves as the board president. She is recognized for her leadership as the executive director of the Grahamtown Community Center. Passionate about community service, TiKisha dedicates her time to volunteering, advocating for positive change, and fostering the development and promotion of youth programs.

Michael Lyda has been an RHP board member since 2021, currently serving as board vice president. He has been actively involved with the organization since 2012. He has contributed to numerous renovation and repair projects, as well as key events like WeBuild, GAF Roofing, and the Women Roofers. In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, working on construction projects, and exploring innovative technology.

Jonathan Bland has been a board member of RHP since 2024, currently serving as Board Treasurer. He is an economics instructor at Isothermal Community College, where he is passionate about teaching and fostering student success. Outside of the classroom, Jonathan enjoys coaching volleyball, spending quality time with his family and friends, and actively contributing to his local community. His dedication to service is evident in his commitment to making a positive impact through both his professional and volunteer roles.

Jean Gordon has been an RHP Board member since 2019, bringing a wealth of experience from her career in newswriting and feature writing with the Rutherford Weekly. She enjoys working outdoors and is deeply involved in church activities, having served on the board at Florence Baptist. Jean believes that the Rutherford Housing Partnership is one of the most valuable partnerships in Rutherford County and feels privileged to have covered RHP since 1995.

Ashley Nichols has been an RHP board member since 2023. She serves as the executive director of the Hope Center of Rutherford County, known as the "Hope Network," where she works to support the local community. In her free time, Ashley enjoys bike riding and camping, embracing the outdoors for both relaxation and adventure. Her passion for service and her love for nature reflect her well-rounded approach to life. Ashley’s leadership in the community and her personal interests showcase her dedication to making a positive impact.

Cynthia Cooper has been an RHP board member since 2022 and is currently serving as the board secretary. With many years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she has worked with organizations such as Rutherford HELP and United Way. Cynthia is committed to supporting community programs and improving lives through her involvement. In her free time, she enjoys scrapbooking and engaging in paper crafts as a creative outlet. Her dedication to both her work and her hobbies highlights her passion for service and creativity.

Jordan Jones has been an RHP board member since 2024 and is the community services director for the Town of Rutherfordton. In this role, he oversees the town's redevelopment commission, manages capital projects, and coordinates internal projects and community events. Jordan also serves on the Foothills NC Home Consortium board, contributing to housing initiatives in the region. In his spare time, he enjoys recreational and outdoor activities. His commitment to community development is reflected in his leadership across multiple organizations.

Larry Blanton has been an RHP board member since 2024. He also serves on the Rutherfordton Redevelopment Commission board, contributing to local development initiatives. Now retired, Larry enjoys working on and collecting old cars and trucks, which is a hobby he is deeply passionate about. His love for classic vehicles reflects his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Larry's involvement in community service through local boards highlights his commitment to enhancing the area where he lives.

Sarah Morse has been on the RHP board since 2024. She serves as the director of program and grants for Gateway Wellness Foundation, where she manages grants and community programs. Sarah is passionate about community development and strives to improve the well-being of those she serves. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and traveling, exploring new places and cultures. Her dedication to making a positive impact in her community is reflected in both her professional and personal pursuits.
